Perhaps we've heard us on Agate which is made of fossils is actually meant is Fossil Wood. Masonry in the world, which is fossil wood is petrified wood where all the organic materials have been replaced by minerals (usually a type of silicate, such as quartz), with a wooden structure is maintained.
Fossil process occurs underground, when wood buried under layers of sediment.
